Corporate Partners Drive UK Collection Success

In October 2024, our UK collection drive brought in 200 quality bicycles from corporate partners across London. This collection represents the power of organizational partnerships in our mission to provide sustainable transportation to communities in West Africa.

Working with companies that have corporate social responsibility programs, we were able to collect bicycles from employee donation drives, corporate fleet upgrades, and end-of-lease bike-to-work scheme returns.

Quality Bikes for Quality Impact

One advantage of corporate collections is the quality of bicycles received. Many come from bike-to-work schemes where employees have maintained their bikes well, or from corporate fleets that have been professionally serviced.

This means more bikes arrive ready for immediate use after basic inspection, reducing the refurbishment workload for our partner mechanics in Ghana and Sierra Leone.

The Journey Ahead

These 200 bicycles will be consolidated with other UK collections and shipped via container to our distribution partners in West Africa. There, they'll join our inventory for school distributions, healthcare worker programs, and community initiatives.
